- General liability and health coverage now built into the financial platform through partnerships with Coverdash and Solo Health
- Collective is the first AI-powered back office to include insurance alongside formation, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax to support solo business owners
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — July 22, 2026 — Collective, the all-in-one financial platform built exclusively for self-employed entrepreneurs, today announced the launch of its Insurance Center. This gives its members in 50 states one place to choose and manage the coverage of their solo business needs. For the first time, the platform brings together general liability, business insurance, and major medical health coverage in a single, integrated hub without ever leaving their dashboard.
This is a major step in Collective’s mission to automate and optimize the full financial system for solopreneurs.
Since its founding, Collective has helped solopreneurs form their business, run payroll, manage their books, and optimize their taxes. The new Insurance Center builds on that infrastructure, making it easier for members to protect the business and themselves through a single, integrated platform. Unlike point solutions that cover a single state or a single type of coverage, Collective’s Insurance Center is built to serve every member nationwide, providing access to business and health insurance from the same trusted platform they already rely on.
The self-employed population has never been larger, with nearly 30 million nonemployer businesses generating $1.7 trillion in annual receipts.¹ Yet insurance hasn’t kept pace: 77% of small businesses are underinsured, and 83% can’t correctly describe what their own liability coverage covers. At the same time, many aspiring entrepreneurs remain tied to traditional jobs because of employer-sponsored health coverage.
“Our members already trust Collective with their books, their payroll, and their taxes – insurance was the obvious next step,” said Hooman Radfar, CEO, Collective. “Because it’s built into the platform, members get better pricing than they’d find shopping alone, and none of the busywork of a separate vendor: no new login, no manual entry, no reconciling costs by hand. It’s one more thing off a solopreneur’s plate, which is the whole point of Collective – making it easier to run a business by yourself.
What’s included today
At launch, the Insurance Center brings two coverage lines into the Collective platform:
- General liability and business insurance: In partnership with Coverdash, members can get real-time quotes from a marketplace of carriers, the ability to bind coverage in minutes, and a single place to manage certificates of insurance and existing policies. (Read Coverdash’s announcement)
- Major medical health coverage: In partnership with Solo Health, members can enroll in a plan built for the self-employed, with monthly premium costs syncing automatically into their Collective payroll and tax calculations. (Read Solo Health’s announcement)
Both integrations follow the same principle: insurance shouldn’t be a separate errand, a separate login, or a separate reconciliation at tax time. It should live inside the same platform members already trust to run their business.
The Insurance Hub is a first step, not a finish line – the clearest signal yet that Collective is building toward something bigger than the back office.
