NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwired – Oct 6, 2015) – Collective, the ad tech leader and programmatic pioneer, today announced The Collective Bill Caspare Memorial Fund, which has been established by Collective LLC and The 4A’s Foundation. It will support diversity in the New Media, Data Science and Product Development disciplines within advertising and media. The Fund provides a variety of resources (including scholarships) that allow students and young professionals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds to explore careers in new media, data science and product development.
The Fund was created in memory of former Collective Senior Executive Bill Caspare, an industry innovator with more than 15 years in new media and digital advertising. Caspare was both a founding member and strategic visionary behind several successful digital ventures including db Ad Strategies, The Fifth Network, Oggifinogi Inc. and Vidible (which was acquired by AOL in 2014).
“Bill’s passion for advertising continues to influence data-driven advertising strategies at Collective and in our entire industry,” said Collective CEO Joe Apprendi. “We hope that this Fund will spur greater diversity in digital media and marketing technology.”
On an annual basis the Fund will award a maximum of three $6,000 scholarships to eligible students pursuing careers in new media, data science and product development. The Fund will begin accepting applications from Tuesday, Oct. 6, through Tuesday, Nov. 10. The 4A’s Foundation will manage the approval process and administer distribution of the scholarship funds.
